Ingebjørg Bratland (25) caught my ears 9 years ago. Seized them. This was truly the talent to pursue.

With her second solo album recording, Månesinn, she even surpasses my wildest expectations, and not only with her hugely talented voice and rare sense of presence.

The album displays Bratland's traditionally trained vocalising towering before a backdrop of acoustic, electric and synthetic instruments.

This poises a stunning sense of baroque electronica, of pop-chamber music. All unexpected elements elevated to a higher unity. An instant ease of simplicity listening to, brought about by unbelievable courage and talent.

Månesinn is a product of time, not a quotient of our time, but an exponent of a future I in my musical heart wouldn't dare hope to experience.
